Final Stretch
April 6th, 2010I seem to be writing this comment in every one of my blogs…but I do not understand how time goes by so fast! It is unbelievable that this week will be the last week of school. Then, of course, there are exams to write.
Unfortunately for me, nothing particularly exciting has been happening over the past few weeks. I have mostly been studying and trying to catch up in all my courses in order to study for my finals. And I’m sure most of you have been doing the same thing. Writing final exams seems to be a routine now. However, I know that exams are important in testing a student’s ability to learn the material over the semester, so, I believe they are needed. Haha…
On the bright side, I have been keeping physically active by playing basketball this semester. It has definitely been too long since I’ve played and it feels good to let your body work out for a little bit after sitting so long at a desk…or in class. Furthermore, I have decided to routinely work out this summer to keep fit and healthy. Not only that, I will start yoga! I have heard only good things about yoga and am especially excited for that this summer; apparently you can lose up to 900 calories in one session of hot yoga. How amazing is that? I definitely wouldn’t be able to jog, run or cycle to lose 900 calories ever in my life! So it seems yoga may be the best possible activity to engage in for some hardcore physical development. I encourage some of you guys to try it out as well! I hope to hear more about yoga if some of you guys already tried it.
Another good thing is the Winnipeg weather! I’m so glad that most of the snow (except for the snow in the river) has disappeared. Looks like spring has come early this year and I hope summer will be much warmer than last. Good luck to everyone in the last week of school and exams as well. I will definitely try to write one more blog before exams officially start. Talk to you guys later!
