Business in May
May 3rd, 2010Hey Guys!
I know it’s been awhile since my last blog, but with exams and everything, it definitely was hard to find time to even be near a computer!
Anyways, like always, I hope that all of you did well on your final exams. I know that I felt the pressure in the last weeks of April, but I’m glad that I managed to pull through. Actually, I was pretty scared to look at my final marks after my last exam. Finally, I had the courage to check yesterday. Happily, I did not do as horribly on Human Physiology as I thought I would. I found the mid-term very difficult and was afraid that I would not be able to do well on my final. However, I studied really hard for the class and ended up with a decent mark. So for those of you who have taken the course, congrats! And if anyone is thinking of taking the class…I have to warn you! It is a very difficult second year class. But, if you put enough work into it, the results will pay off.
Now that exams are done, I am even busier! The Science Students’ Association Grand Finale was on April 30th. I had a great time meeting people and chilling. The event was successful and I’m glad that many people were able to celebrate and have a good time. Also, my mom is visiting South Korea, which she has not been for 15 years! I am really glad that she is able to visit her family and friends after all this time. I mean, 15 years is quite a long time. Thus, I have been helping my dad with the family business which is much harder than I thought. It is physically and emotionally draining but I am learning about life: nothing comes easy. I have also realized the privilege of having my parents around. I sure miss my mom but I think I’m learning more about independence as well. The month of May is going to be hectic but hopefully it will be another learning milestone in my life. Anyways, hope your guys’ summers will be fun!
Love,
Esther
